Lake Dionne offers a territory covered with pine trees and leafy hardwood species. In September, mushrooms abound almost everywhere in dense forest or in open landscape. It is however under pine trees that most are to be found and especially under black spruce.
Enjoy picking up chanterelles, bolete, hedgehog mushrooms, amidst a peaceful territory of woods and waters glowing with the colours of the boreal autumn.
Whilst waiting to come and visit us, you may read R. Pomerleau’s book, published in 1980. Flore des champignons au Québec et régions limitrophes. Les éditions la presse, Ottawa. Cote B-JBM: 0425 P6.2. It is a reference book on mycology.
